Top 11 Songs of the 90’s

No, that’s not a typo. The 90’s were all about alternative, punk, grunge, and rap. Today, I’ll be listing my eleven favorite songs from that decade, in no particular order. I will also only be picking one song per band, so it’s not 100% accurate…

1) Nirvana- “Lithium”

I miss you, I’m not gonna crack…

2) Pearl Jam- “Black”

And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass of what was everything…

3) U2- “One”

Have you come here to play Jesus to the lepers in your head?

4) R.E.M.- “Losing My Religion”

That’s me in the corner, that’s me in the spotlight, losing my religion…

5) Smashing Pumpkins- “Tonight, Tonight”

We’ll crucify the insincere tonight, tonight…

6) Weezer- “The Good Life”

And I don’t even know how I got off the track…

7) Red Hot Chili Peppers- “Otherside”

Burn me out leave me on the otherside…

8) The Mighty Mighty Bosstones- “The Impression That I Get”

I never had to knock on wood, but I know someone who has…

9) Oasis- “Don’t Look Back In Anger”

So, Sally can wait, she knows it’s too late as we’re walking on by…

10) Guns N’ Roses- “November Rain”

Cause nothin’ lasts forever, even cold November rain…

11) Green Day- “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)”

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right…

Those are my favorite songs of the decade before I was born. Let me know what you think, and what your favorites are. You can even send me angry e-mails.

  1. Are you serious? You didn’t feature All Star by Smash Mouth. Unlike Sir Mix Alot, I don’t have your back.
